Coronavirus (COVID19) - as a result of the new England-wide lockdown, we will remain at RED readiness level for the time being. Please view the post for more info.

Activities

As you find your feet in Beavers, you’ll find new activities to sink your teeth into. You’ll go on day trips, you’ll go on camps, and you’ll discover new friends at every turn.

Beavers learn new social and physical skills at every session, be it focused learning, or learn through play.

Examples of activities in Beavers include:

  • Cooking on open fires
  • Campfire Songs
  • Nature walks
  • Day trips (museums, zoo’s etc)
  • Crafting
  • Edible Crafts
  • Team Sports
  • Archery
  • Kayaking
  • Grass Sledging
  • Zip Wire
  • Cork Guns
  • Climbing
  • Creature Critters Experience
  • Group Camps
  • Themed District/County Camps
  • And much more

Our Beavers will also take part in our Fundraising Activities and Parades each year as part of their development within the movement.

In 2020, when COVID struck, many of our Beavers took to home Scouting completing badges online, showing grit and determination to press on through any difficulty.
