It’s fair to say that 2021 has been a bit of a strange year. We started the year in lockdown, with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts conducting their Scouting via Zoom. There isn’t a leader in our group who would say that was easy to do, but showing resiliance and dedication, we moved on!

In April, we began a phased return to Scouting with all Sections taking on new Risk Management processes enabling us to make that return safely. Our risk management, and discipline of our leaders and members shining through. In spite of various COVID-19 close contacts or infections by members or families of members, we thank all of our members and leaders that no Sectional Outbreaks have occured to date.

And so, with our sections now closed for Christmas, we look forward to 2022, with vaccines in arms, hoping that the year gets off to a normal start! Do watch this space for return dates in the new year, but until that time, we wish all of our Members, Supporters and Partners a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

All the best!
