1st Abram Cubs have now released details of their first residential experience since October 2019!

This overnighter is a return to a Cubs favorite, JOTI or Jamboree on the Internet which will this year be joined by JOTA (Jamboree on the Air), which will take place during the day.

Cubs will receive basic coaching in the use of Amateur Radio to enable them to make contacts with other people from, as far as we can get, with special thanks to South Lancs Amateur Radio Club (SLARC) during the day, as well as some training on various other communications techniques.

They’ll then be let loose on the Internet via Internet Relay Chat (IRC), to communicate with other “Scouts and Guides” (those from these or similar movements), from around the world!

Places are limited, so we advise members to book early to avoid disappointment!

This year, we’ll be saving the environment and instead of using a Physical Map, using a Google Map to mark all of our contacts, which will be visible right here on our webpage!
